"PTA supports policies that create a safe and supportive school environment for all families and students, including students in immigrant and mixed-status families. We support protecting and preserving public school attendance, student learning, and well-being, which are paramount to our country’s future success.
The Protecting Sensitive Locations Act (S. 455/H.R. 1061) would prohibit immigration enforcement actions by Department of Homeland Security officers or agents at or within 1,000 feet of sensitive locations... "

Friends of the FRC (Family Resource Center)
The family resource centers are family support centers that link school families with local resources and human services addressing the needs of the whole child in order to promote student success. All families are welcome.
Roosevelt Elementary PTA will also be organizing a supply drive for the FRC in early 2026.
Deliver food to families and individuals unable to leave their homes or sort, pack, or stock items at the Bellingham Food Bank
Serve food, knit warm clothing items, collect and hand out warm clothing at Interfaith Coalition
