Treasurer’s Report – Kimberly Power (PTA Treasurer)
Moved surplus in budget (from COVID years, etc) into savings certificate; estimated to earn about $700 over 6 months. Option to do again if interested
Principal's Message – Aaron Darragh (Roosevelt Principal)
5th Graders are heading to “Mountain School” next week at NCI
Opportunity for all 5th Graders in our district
Our group is going to NCI but some schools opt to go to “Beach School” at Camp Kirby
Guest from Kulshan Middle Schools PTSA – Lynette Bennett (Former Roos PTA President)
Currently looking for board members for next year; workload is about 25% less than elementary level
Main tasks include creating sign up geniuses for parent volunteers and running the budget (requests for staff special projects, art room supplies, button maker STEM room, field trips, 6 grade t-shirts, vinyl stickers, staff appreciation once a quarter, and 8th grade celebration)
One Middle School fundraiser with all the Middle Schools in partnership with Bellingham Schools Foundation
Parent involvement is less at the middle school level being on the PTSA board is one way to be in the know
PACS Report – Elsa Lenz Kothe
Inclusion: District working on understanding,student by student, school by school
Teacher training handling behavior, learning styles, safety wise
Technology: phones, watches, middle/high school expectations around that, processes for consequences
Technology in the classroom understanding of how it was used vs guidance

Winter session coming to an end
Spring enrollment is open and scholarship requests close Friday 3/21

Offered a MLL help session for Spring enrollment and scholarships and no one attended. Will offer help sessions in Fall and Winter next year
**Looking for co-chair for this committee next year; providing sustainability and to avoid burnout**

Betime and Books happened in Feb. Will have an all school cozy day in the future to help bring awareness.
Next event is the Pizza and Dance Party in April. Committee meeting for planning is 03/25 at Lakeline; all are welcome
T-shirt design contest shirts will be white to glow for the dance party

Our next Bingo and Brews @ Wander on 04/01 from 6-9 pm; sign up genius will go out (would love student helpers as well)

Order has been finalized with print shop. Final draft is due 05/15
04/28 will be the next yearbook committee meeting. All candid photos due by this date
