This is Tracy's fourth year serving on the PTA Board, the first as Vice President. She is mom of a 3rd grader at Roosevelt, as well as a 7th grader. Tracy cares deeply about her kids' education and for the Roosevelt community.
Ashley has a 4th grader (Peyton) and a 6th grader (Kennedy). She loves working with and supporting the amazing students, families, and staff that make up that Roosevelt community! Their family loves spending time on the nearby trails, camping, and reading!
Cassie Henifin is a parent to 6 kiddos. Her eldest, Elaina, is a Roosevelt Grad now at Kulshan. This school year, she has 5 students at Roosevelt- Aria (4th), Mason (3rd), Bennett (2nd), LaVona (K) & Luna (PK). Community is one of Cassie's core values, so while she's not serving staff and families at school, she's running Eastside Soccer Club, a non-profit youth athletic organization. In her free time she loves to hike, read, spend time with friends & work in the garden.
Emma has a 2nd grader (Milo) and a 3-year-old (Connor). She loves getting to know the staff and families at Roosevelt through working in the PTA and is excited for another year full of fun events! One of her favorite hobbies is spending time in her garden.

Kim is deeply committed to providing our students with a fun and enriching after-school experience. She started volunteering with the PTA in 2024. She has a 2nd Grader (Ollie) at and a kindergartener (Lucy). Kim's husband Andy volunteers to coach Roosevelt's Bike Club in the spring. Lucy is learning to ride a bike so they are beginning to enjoy family bike rides.

Missy has a 5th grader and a 1st grader at Roosevelt. She has really enjoyed getting more involved with the Roosevelt community & PTA over the last couple of years! Missy loves participating in community events, building community, and spending quality time with her two kiddos!
Kimberly is a Bellingham native, married to Todd (a former Roosevelt Bear himself), mother to Grace (6th grade), Jojo (3nd grade), and Rose (Kindergarten). Kimberly is passionate about relationships and building a strong community.
Emma has a 2nd grader (Anderson) and a Kindergartener (Penny) at Roosevelt. She was born and raised in Bellingham and is excited to watch her kiddos grow up in this wonderful community. She is passionate about helping all families, especially those served in Special Education feel supported and connected here at Roosevelt.

Enjoy building connections and making a difference at school? Join our PTA team as Volunteer Coordinator! You’ll help organize support for school needs (like the front office, library, lunch, and recess) and coordinate volunteers for PTA events. It’s a great way to get more involved and work with an awesome team!

Spread the word about PTA events by creating flyers and social media posts, connecting with front office staff for ParentSquare communication, and managing the Events Spotlight page on our PTA website.
Plan and organize our after-school enrichment classes, create and distribute flyers to families about current enrichment offerings, and act as back-up volunteer chaperones when needed.
Coordinate Family Fun events (open house, bedtime and books, dance party, end-of-the-year BBQ, etc). Help to build and strengthen the Roosevelt community by bringing our families together to create fun memories at our school!
Identify fundraising opportunities, seek out sponsorships and donations, explore community partnerships, and help coordinate various fundraising events throughout the year.
Collaborate with school staff to identify areas where they need extra help, such as office tasks, recess and lunchtime supervision, and more. Coordinate parent and community volunteers to fill these roles and help organize volunteer support for PTA events.
Recruits candidates for elected positions (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary). This essential committee, made up of 3 members and required by the Washington State PTA, supports our PTA’s success.
Plan staff appreciation events throughout the school year as a way of saying "thank you!" to our wonderful Roosevelt staff.
Work with a local print shop and our school photographer, design the yearbook, and manage the distribution of the yearbook to Roosevelt students.
Work as a point of contact to help provide school and community resources and accommodations for students. Help facilitate building connections and community for families served in special education.
