Hello Roosevelt Bears,

Our April Brews & Bingo Night was a huge success!  We raised $3000 for after-school enrichment scholarships!  Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support.  We had so much fun and it was incredible to see so many people come together for a great cause.

Staff Appreciation Week is in full swing!  Barkley Village sponsored a yummy catered lunch for the staff on the 1st and, thanks to donations from Roosevelt families, we are putting together snacks in the staff lounge every day this week (May 5th - 9th).  To all the teachers and staff, thank you for making Roosevelt such a special place for our kids! 

We're celebrating Bike to School Day on May 16th!  Roosevelt parent Emily Hermansen is organizing a "bike bus" along the trails to school that morning.  We'll share the route and times on ParentSquare as the day gets closer!  Please make sure everyone in your family knows the go home plan.  Parents, stop by the PTA table outside the main school entrance at drop-off that morning for some coffee and a donut on us.

Mark your calendar for the next PTA meeting on May 20th.  The nominations for next year's President, VP, Secretary, and Treasurer will be announced.  You can make additional nominations at the meeting, so please come if you are able!

There will be a Bubble Recess for all students on Friday, May 23rd!  They earned this special day by raising nearly $20K at the Bear-a-thon in the fall.  If you would like to help out during your student’s recess, please visit our sign-up genius.
